Race Regulations

By submitting your registration, you agree to participate in the Andros The Lakes Race event and to comply with all terms and conditions set forth by the organisers, relevant authorities and sponsors.

1. Athletes must complete the entire marked course, moving under their own power.

2. All athletes must sign a waiver before receiving their Race Kit.

Failure to sign the agreement = not permitted to participate in the race.

3. All athletes must respect other runners and volunteers throughout the event.

4. The BIB number must be worn at the front and remain clearly visible throughout the competition.

5. There will be several manual time checkpoints along the route.

Athletes who do not pass through or are not recorded at any checkpoint will be disqualified from the race.

6. The bag drop area is located at the Race Kit collection point.

Athletes may deposit their belongings before the race and collect them upon completion.

We have worked hard to clean up the area over the past year with the help of children and students. Please respect the environment and dispose of rubbish in the designated bins. As there are checkpoints every 3 kilometres, we believe runners can keep their rubbish with them for 3 kilometres and dispose of it at the checkpoint.

9. Unregistered persons are not permitted to participate in the race.

10. Runners who take shortcuts or fail to follow the route will be disqualified.

11. If a runner disagrees with the ranking results, they must notify the Organising Committee and submit a request within 24 hours after the race.

12. Should weather conditions become excessively hazardous, the Organising Committee reserves the right to postpone or cancel the race.

13. By participating in The Lakes Race, runners agree to allow the Organising Committee to use their images for communication and commercial purposes.

14. The official results will be announced within 48 hours of the event’s conclusion and published on the programme’s official website.

15. The Lakes Race complies with the safety regulations of the local authorities.

The Organising Committee shall not be held responsible for any medical conditions or health issues that may arise or be transmitted during the event.
